Guys Hospital is a larger NHS hospital in Southwark, Central London and is part of the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.  It is a large teaching hospital and is the location of King’s College London School of Medicine. The hospital was founded in 1721 by Thomas Guy and was originally established as a hospital to treat incurables discharged from St Thomas’ Hopital. It has been home to famous physicians such as John Keats, Sir Alexander Flemming and Thomas Addison.

The tower is the tallest, all-hospital buiulding in the world and was the tallest building in London in the 1970s.

Dounreay Power Station

Located on the North East Coast of Scotland and built on the site of a World War II airfield Dounreay was established in 1955 to pursue the UK Government policy of developing fast breeder reactor (FBR) technology.  In 2005 the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority become owner of the site and decommissioning in planned for the site by 2036.

Founded in 1946, it is the only university to have been created by the Parliament of Australia.
