Evacuation Alert System
The easy way to ensure you have the BS 8629 Code of Practice covered
EvacGo is our evacuation alert system, providing peace of mind that you're meeting all the BS 8629 recommendations.
EACIE (Evacuation Alert Control & Indicating Equipment) is now strongly recommended in England for all tall buildings containing flats with a storey located at a height of 18 metres or more – and is mandatory in Scotland. The EACIE must operate completely independently of fire detection systems and be designed to support any evacuation strategy chosen by the fire and rescue service.
We have worked closely alongside fire industry experts who wrote the standard to create our BS 8629 solution and are custom manufacturing our EACIE to reflect each individual building’s evacuation zones. The panels are available in 8, 16, 24 or 32 ‘fire fighter evacuation alert area’ variants and are expandable from 1 to 4 loops – or even further, when using our highly robust, fault-tolerant networks.
All panel components are the same as those used in our industry-leading MxPro 5 range, so you can be confident they’ve been rigorously tested to EN54 Parts 2 and 4.
Each panel is designed to comply with all the appearance, functionality and operational recommendations of BS 8629, so you can be safe in the knowledge you’re protecting people and property with robust and proven technology.
Advanced evacuation alert panels feature manual controls that are easy for fire and rescue service personnel to operate. Toggle switches and LED indication make viewing evacuation zone status and implementing evacuation strategies quick, simple and straightforward.
Each Advanced evacuation alert panel is housed in its own STS 205 security-rated enclosure with patented BS EN 1303-compliant lock and key mechanism for exclusive access by the fire and rescue service – ensuring minimal risk of unauthorised use and full compliance with BS 8629.
The evacuation alert panel works equally well within hard-wired, radio and/or hybrid systems. Commissioning and servicing is quick and easy using our virtual PC tool.
Other key features of our evacuation alert system that bring you Advanced performance, quality and ease of use include:
- 1 to 4 loop formats supporting 500 mA per loop for total flexibility
- Built-in battery back-up options – up to 17 ampere-hours, to meet the BS 8629 Code of Practice recommendations: 72-hours, plus 30 minutes in alarm, or where an on-site generator is present, 24-hours plus 30 minutes in alarm
- Slide-in labels for clear, easy naming of evacuation zones to avoid confusion.
For additional peace of mind, you can use our ServiceTool with your evacuation alert panel to create customised service reports and be sure you’re compliant with stipulated service and maintenance schedules.
